Looking forward to the new season of American Idol? Aside from the new contestants, there are also two new judges to look forward to. Yes, it?s official! Sexy diva Jennifer Lopez and cool Steven Tyler will be joining the only remaining original judge Randy Jackson on the judges table. It?s back to the three judges on season 10 of AI.
The official announcement of this season?s judges came during the last national auditions held at the Forum arena in California. Thousands of wannabes witnessed the three judges? entry after Ryan Seacrest made the announcement.
Steven Tyler has long finalized his contract with Fox network. It was negotiations with J-Lo that had lots of skirmish. There were also some fears that the two parties might not come to an agreement regarding the terms. But with the start of the new season drawing near, Fox had to act fast! They closed on a 1-year contract and $12M deal.
Now, with the new judges in place, big changes will surely be brought into the show. I only hope this new season will be more exciting than the previous one! Admit it, Season 9 was the most dismal season ever!
