California Girl, Katy Perry, was all set to guest on the children?s tv show, Sesame Street. She recorded a kid-friendly version of her hit song, Hot N Cold, with Elmo. The show was set to air on New Year?s Eve but somehow got leaked to YouTube, where it is now close to a million hits.
Apparently, the show looked innocent enough but mothers who got to watch it didn?t quite like Katy?s wardrobe ensemble where she was showing a lot of cleavage. One mom even reacted with a catty remark about speeding up the ?puberty process?.
Even the ?Early Show? anchors also shared their comments but to the advantage of Perry, saying that her low-cut costume was not so bad. There was also another star on the show who wore a similar dress - Ms Piggy.
What with all this not so friendly reactions, the show?s execs have decided to pull the plug on the show?s New Year?s Eve broadcast. I think it?s a good enough judgment, avoid further damage to the show and stop undue influence on its viewers, the kids.
